KBase unable to upload

Jürgen Wierz August 12, 2020

Hello!

Since two weeks I cannot upload data larger than ~400MB to KBase. After a short time there is an error message " Error: unable to upload file!" I have used KBase several times in the past and never had this error. Has anything changed?

Thank you, cheers

Ah, I think what has happened is that KBase uses Jira for a service desk and while you were looking for help, you have clicked on a link for "help with Jira", rather than "help with KBase"

I'm afraid we are stuck (unless someone from KBase is also here), all we can really say is that you probably need to get in touch with the KBase Jira admins (I would say the admins in general, but I suspect the KBase admins have Jira as a service desk as their preferred route already)

Well, not what I hoped for, but thanks anyway. I will try my luck on a different path.

Thank you Nic and Nick :)

Personally, I've always wanted to make the "Stuck?  Here's how to get in touch with your admins" thing in Confluence mandatory, and added to Jira properly as well, rather than take you off here first!

Sorry we couldn't be of any help.

Hi Jürgen

A Limit can be set in Confluence (Documentation) and Jira (Documentation). From your question I was not sure which application you are referring to. Maybe you can elaborate. :)

But this error message looks more like there is a limitation on level of the network or web server or some error. I'd check the log of your applications for details.

Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick
Thanks for your reply. Funnily enough, I'm not so sure which application I am using myself. I use the browser interface of: "https://www.kbase.us/" and was sent here by the links (support -> KBase Help Board), however I cannot really see how this is connected to KBase... Am I in the correct place at all with my question?

Sorry for the confusion and thanks in advance

Hi Jürgen

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist-  added a good answer meanwhile. I suspect you really need to get into touch with someone from KBase.
