look at your board configuration - is the new status (the one after the transition) assigned to a colum?
Maybe your board is based on a filter which is filtering out the issue?
Thanks @Thomas Schlegel . This is on a JIRA Core instance and is related to a standard board that, to my knowledge, can''t be configured or filtered. Any other options?

@Thomas Schlegel I took a look at that and the two troubleshooting instances aren't what is happening here. When I create a new issue, a card briefly appears on the Kanban Board before vanishing. Though, as I mentioned earlier, the issue still exists and is searchable. There are no issue level security schemes that would impact this. Also might be worth noting that this incident is only occurring within one of our projects.
