Hello,
just a quick context: I've inherited a Kanban board from my collegue who changed position. The owner board is still my colleague, but I'm the Admin.
I modify name etc, because the scope has changed, but as I'm not the owner, I cannot modify the Filter in the section Configuration --> General and Filter --> Filter Query
so we create some labels that are not shown on the kanban board.
is there a way to create a new filter?
thanks in advance
Maria ELena
Hi Maria, and welcome to the community.
The Kanban board and filter it is based on exist seperately from each other.
There are a couple of options to adjust the filter:
Hope this helps!
Hi @Els Bassant
thanks for the suggestions! To be honest, I would prefer not to involve the collegue, as she's very busy with her new role.
I can choose which filter to use, but I don't know how to copy the filter, but I'll check :)
Anyway, maybe the best thing would be If they can make me owner of the board.
thanks again and regards

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You can go to filters > find the filter you need > copy the filter from there
OR
In the board settings scroll down a little bit to see the filter query. You can copy that and use it to create a new filter(and adjust it where needed). Then in the board settings, choose this new filter for your board.
Make sure you share your filter with everyone who needs to see the board, otherwise they will get an error message.

Is there a "Saved Filter" selected in the "General and filter" section. The "Filter query" field reflects the value of that saved filter.
If you click "Edit filter query" you should be able to change the filter.
Best regards,
Kris

HI @Kris Dewachter ,
unfortunately as I'm the admin but not the board owner, I don't see the Edit Filter query. This is something that just board's owner can do

@Maria Elena Carbonari, You can ask the jira-administrator to change the ownership of the saved filter that is used on the board.
Settings --> System --> Shared Items --> Filters
