Kanban roadmap

In the settings of a next-gen Kanban project I cannot enable/turn on the Roadmap feature. Any suggestions how that can be solved? I am using this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/roadmap-957979308.html

and it seems there is Project settings > Features but Features tab doesn't exists.

Hello,

It means that your project is not a next-gen project. Next-gen projects are available only on Cloud.

That's correct. Is there an alternative for roadmaps or story mapping in this classic Kanban projects?
