We have a contract company that provides us two contractors on a regular basis. Due to security concerns I need them to be able to see the issues their company is working on, but no others.
Right now, I have it set so that they can see only issues assigned to them. The problem is that they work in collaboration, and with that approach if person 1 is assigned to a card, then person 2 can't see it.
We use the Teams module from Atlassian (don't remember which product actually supplies it). I also have a group called "contract_company". I'd like to be able to set a permission in the permission scheme that says "if a user is a member of group 'contract_company' let them see all cards assigned to team 'company' and no others.".
Any other approach that will fulfill this requirement is acceptable. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hi,
You could grant the "Browse Projects" permission to the group custom field. Or you can map that field in a security level if you need different security levels for the project.

I thought about driving it with a custom field... and may do that yet. The problem is that we already have a proliferation of custom fields, and there is a "Teams" field that I'd essentially be duplicating. The Teams field just doesn't show on any filter.
I'll let everyone know what I figure out.
