We have recently implemented JPD. Developers review ideas and form tickets in Jira to chunk development tasks and estimate SP for each ticket. A recent email from Atlassian advised a new feature was to link from Jira tickets JPD Ideas, so we found it and started using it. Started using it today and it appears to have been removed? Please clarify if this is still a feature and if it was removed why? What is the alternative to achieve linkage from Jira to JPD if it has been removed.
Thanks Sahir. I read your response as saying "Im not sure, it may not be there because we removed it, read our product updates". This is perhaps the most circular answer to a question in the history of questions, but thank you. I shall wade my way through the copious and mostly irrelevant, possibly misleading updates provided by Atllassian to to find reference on why a much needed feature was given then removed (or possibly not). Btw i thought you were the help desk. I'll try to track them down too. All the best. G
I can add an Idea (a JPD Item) in to Jira Service Management project but it doesn't add a back link from JPD to the ticket I added it too. We use JSM for a Feedback hub.
This seems like an oversight. It is more important for us to look from JPD back into the linked tickets than the other way around but both ways are nice.
You can manually add a link in JPD back to the Jira ticket, but the one you have to add to make it show in both places is also unintuitive.
The only way is to make it JPD issue added to idea JSM issue.
If you use what I think it more accurate: JPD Issue is idea for JSM Issue, it doesn't show up.

Hello @Garreth Chandler
Based on my understanding, the feature to link Jira issues to Jira Product Discovery (JPD) ideas was recently introduced.
If it’s no longer available, it might be due to ongoing updates or changes in the feature's availability.
To clarify, I recommend reviewing Atlassian’s product update logs or contacting their support team: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
