List of DataCenter plugins

Looking for information on a list of included plugins for Atlassian Data Center licensing. 

Do you have a Definative list of plugins for Jira/Confluence/BitBucket etc for the DataCenter licening?

There are no "included plugins" in Data Centre for the purposes of licencing.  You buy a DC licence and all the "included plugins" are licenced by it.

Can you please generate a list of plugins for Jira Data Center, Confluence Data Center and Management Data Center? We have over 50 plugins and I am trying to determine what plugins we’ll still need to migrate from Server to Datacenter. A solid list of plugins to A/B would be very helpful.

There's well over a thousand, I'm not sure a list would be of any use to you.  But if you really think it would be useful, start at https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=dataCenter

If you're migrating to DC, you'd be better off simply reading the list of "user installed apps" in your Server - you only need to worry about them, and you'll find a lot have DC valid versions which means there's no actual migration work to do.

Thank you, this really helps as I am failrly new to the DataCenter concept. Are you conveying if I query the installed plugins on my servers from the link you provided and find they are included in DataCenter I can migrate them without additional licensing?

No, there's no "inclusion" here as you've used it.

I think it might be easier to explain from the bottom up.  The Atlassian Server and DC applications can be thought of as "platforms" upon which you run plugins/add-ons/apps.  There are four ways you might use these:

1. Built-in and "system" - a lot of the functions in Jira are actually done by apps that are layered on to the bare-bones system.  These are built into the distributions, and cannot be disabled.
2. Built-in and "optional", again built into the distributions, but can be turned off
3. Optional Atlassian apps - not built into distributions, you have to go off to the marketplace to get them installed
4. Optional 3rd party apps - not built into distributions, you have to go off to the marketplace to get them installed

In terms of licences, types 1 and 2 are covered by your licence for the core off-the-shelf product.  For types 3 and 4, you need additional licences.

The difference between Server and Data Centre installs for these is that most of the "optional atlassian apps" become "built-in and optional" (actually I think it's "all" for DC, but I don't want to mis-lead Cloud users if any happen to read this).

So, let's say you've got 3 specific apps (chosen deliberately for their server->dc properties) currently installed on your Server:

1. Jira misc workflow extensions - optional 3rd party app
2. Advanced roadmaps - optional Atlassian app
3. Scriptrunner - optional 3rd party app

When you move to DC, you will need to do three different things for each:

1. JMWE - buy a DC licence for it
2. Advanced Roadmaps - nothing, this has moved from "optional atlassian" to "built-in", it's covered by your DC licence now
3. SR - buy a DC licence for it and check your scripts are all still valid for DC (there's a few changes which mean scripts that work for server may fail on DC)

So, what I'd recommend here is a look through the list of "user installed" apps you have, see if they have a DC equivalent from the links given earlier and have a look at release notes for the DC versions to see if you will need to do any upgrades!  (The code for Server and DC apps can be the same, and a lot of apps who say they've got both actually only have one product!  If it works on DC, it'll work on Server in most cases)

Then for each one you want to keep, you'll need to get a DC licence for it!

Looking at the installed software below in order to retain as many plugins as possible I should upgrade Jira to 8.19.1 and Confluence 7.14.1 versions of Data Center.  I'll lose CSUM as it's not supported after 7.13.2

Team Calendars is bundled with Data Center and for that reason no longer available as a separate Marketplace app. But it will still be available (for free, as part of Confluence Data Center).

I understand you are referring to the bundled apps with the Data Center platform, so the former Marketplace that are now included in the products?

If you are looking for apps available separately for download from the Atlassian Marketplace, you can filter by platform to get a specific list for Data Center apps.

If you click on the link I included in my previous post, that is exactly what you'll get. Just apply an additional filter by product and you have everything there is available.

There are more than 1.000 marketplace apps for Data Center and that gets updated every day. So for a single source of truth, the best place to go to is the one I shared before.
