Mail Notification : When an issue from Project X is Moved to Project Y

Hello All,

Is it possible when an issue ( from any state ) is moved by an user from Project X to Project Y ( user is not member of this project Y ) then the users in particular role in Project Y will get the email notification of the moved issue ?

Kindly provide your approach regarding this problem.

 For the issue move event in the project Y you can add the relevent users in a role and add that role in the notification scheme for the project Y issue move event and thus they should receive the notifications.

Actually the requirement is that if A user moves an issue from a particular state from Project X to some Project Y then particular role will get the mail notification in Project Y ( condition is here that A user which is from project X is not the member of Project Y) and the roles depend from which state the A user is making the Move operation from Project X to Project Y.

For Ex.

From Project X--> State: In Progress then In Project Y--> Developers Role will get the notification, and just like that if

From Project X--> State: Fixed then In Project Y--> Testers Role will get the notification regarding the move operation that this issue from project X is moved to their project from State Fixed ( from Project X).

Since by default issue move notification is independent of the workflow status of the issue in source project  hence there is no out of the box way to implement what you want. 

What you can do is write a custom listener which listens to the issue move event and then based on the workflow status of the issue sends out email to the users in a particular role in the project.
