Make "Description" required field in 1 screen on certain issue types

Hi Community,

Is there a way to make the "Description" field mandatory on all issue types except "sub tasks"? Also, is there a way to make this the case only for the screen that I use?

Currently, I can see how to make the "Description" field required, but it affects all screens and all issue types.

Hi,

To make "Description" field required you go to the wanting project, go to the settings to the project, click issues --> Fields, select the right field configuration for a specific issue type and "Require" the field you want.

Hi David,

Thankyou very much for getting back to me.

I can see how to make a field "required", but it affects all screens. I don't want to make the "description" field required for all screens as I would affect other teams' issues. I need to only make a field required on the screens I use.

Hello David, hopes is not too late, but you can do that by creating other Field Configuration and apply to the Issue Type in the Field configuration Scheme in the project
