Making Custom Field available at particular step of the workflow.

Hi I'm using Jira Cloud, 

I need to know if there is a way where i can initially keep the custom fields associated with the screens hidden and based on the workflow progression i should be able to unhide and make custom fields available to edit. 

To explain more, Say if i have a custom filed " Barcode Tagged ?" . (Yes or no custom field). 

Say my workflow is " Todo -> Inprogress-> Verification -> Despatch -> Approval"

Now my requirement is , I should have the custom field "Barcode Tagged?" hidden untill Verification Step of the workflow. Only During Despatch Step of the Worflow user should be able to see this field and edit it.

Any help without use of add-on's is appreciated.

Hi @Haran Kumar ,

I don't think you can edit the fields on an issue screen based off the status. What you can do, is:

1. Make a copy of the issue screen you use
2. On this copy, add the Barcode Tagged field to the list of fields
3. Add this new screen to the transition between In progress-> Verification and/or Verification->Despatch, so that you can set this field while you're transitioning.

If you want to edit the field and remain in the same status, create a transition from Validation to itself, and add the screen to this transition so that you can edit the field without changing status
