Im using Jira software project to track and document different tasks of implementation and dev regarding a spesific software. some of the tasks are customer related .
what is the best method to likk Epic and User Story to customer?
i want to be able to filter issues by this paramenter.
i dont need that the customer will have acsess to Jira.
Thanks
Hila
Hi Hila
I think best option is to create a custom field "drop down list" and you can put all your customers in this custom field also it will be very helpful for your reporting purposes.
to create custom field please go to setting --> issues --> custom field and create a new one name it customers also please don't forget to put it on the apropriate screens. please let me know if it satisfy your needs or not.
Best Regards,
Medhat

Hi @Hila Armoza
As @Medhat Ahmed the most simplest way is to create a custom field is that is all you need to track. Depending upon the size of your project you can also have customer specific projects but it seems like you will be fine just a custom field. It will help you later with reporting as well.
To link User Story to Epic you need to use Epic link or use Jira Software board in the backlog view. There you can drag and drop stories to the epics.
I hope it helps.
