After migration, we see some of the project roles have its original and migrated versions on the target cloud side. e.g. Administrators, Administrators (migrated 2), Administrators (migrated).
As a cleanup activity, we need to merge the migrated versions of any particular project role into a single role. e.g. There are three versions of Administrators project roles as above and we want those to be merged into a single project role called Administrators.
Can we achieve this? If yes, what is the simplest and less-risky way for this?
Alternatively, is there a way (e.g. using ScriptRunner) to assign a project role to loads of permission schemes as a bulk operation?
Thanks,
Joey
I know that there is a script runner post function to assign roles so I would assume that you could create a script that you just run to perform the assignment. You would have to review their documentation to confirm.

@ushankar Welcome to the Atlassian Community
Unfortunately, there is not a great way to clean these up and Atlassian had a feature request here with some information about the issue. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/MIG-212
Next time you migrate take a look at this and it should help you out but might not fix the outcome depending on how your server instance is configured. https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/how-the-jira-cloud-migration-assistant-links-your-data/
