Hi there,

I want to migrate my classic board over to a next-gen board but I see no way of doing this without it being a manual, painful process.

Is there no way to simplify this and save users time and struggle?

Hi Sophie, welcome to the Community!

So you don't migrate "boards" but rather you migrate the issues from a Classic project to a Next-gen project. The process is a bit tedious and depends on the details of your starting point w/ the Classic project. This document should help you out - migrate-from-an-next-gen-project-to-a-classic-project

Hey Jack,

Ok, thanks for this. It's a shame this hasn't been automated as of yet as I feel there may be much for keenness to move boards if the process were simplified.

I'll take a look at the link you shared.

Think carefully about moving to Next-Gen, we ended up moving back all boards from next-gen -> classic.  Next-gen is not well named - it's a far simplified product that is fine for many simpler use cases.  But, for example, Advanced Roadmaps is not available in next-gen.
