Hi, I love the Jira Slack integration, especially the Atlassian Intelligence summarization, and use it very often.
Recently the ticket creation form stopped having the Components field. In our setup this means the ticket is not visible in any team's backlog, so that's fairly important to set for us.
At the same time the creation form shows custom fields that we have set up (but don't use so often) like "Work completion %"
I checked our Issue Layout and it doesn't seem related (see screenshot).
I saw https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-questions/Re-Slack-Workflow-Edit-JIRA-Ticket-limited-fields/qaq-p/3006484/comment-id/1121379#M1121379 but all of the linked tickets are from 2019 and don't seem to have recent changes (even though they're still heavily upvoted and commented on today).
Can Atlassian please comment on whether there were any changes to this on Atlassian side and/or whether this is configurable in any way?
Hello, Good day. Checking from my instance confirmed component field is available from slack create form.
* Make sure this field is added to the create screen
* This field is shown when you create a work item directly from Jira?
Hi @Mohanraj Thangamuthu , thank you for checking. I can confirm that the field is there when using the Create button on Jira itself (see screenshot).
When creating an issue via Slack the Component can not be filled. However if you create it anyways (with Component missing) and manage to find the ticket afterwards you can still add it manually.
The Component field is not mandatory (not all teams require it) but the Slack issue creation form shows a lot of other optional fields too (see screenshot in OP)

Strange, I am able to select component as well.
Whether component name has special characters?
