Hello!
We are trying to modify the Epic name field in a created epic, but we can not find how to do it in the new view.
We've already chaged it throug the old view, but it will be really nice to know how to do it without changing to the old view.
Thankyou
@María López Carrasco, I’m able to change the epic name when I view the detail issue view. Are you sure that you have the Epic Name included in that view?
I thought I had it, but maybe I do not know how to make it visible in the detail view.
Could you please tell me how to configure it?
Thank you :)

It's not possible in the new Jira view, only in the old view. There's no "Edit" option in the new view as well. Jira being Jira...

Having the same problem. Atlassian should fix this - or maybe there is a plan to retire this field and just keep Summary for Epics - which would be a huge improvement. Currently you have to enter both a Summary and an Epic Name when creating an epic, this is annoying since usually there is no good reason to make these values different. It just confuses people.

Here's the bug, please vote on it if it affects you: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70355

Same problem here.
I'm in favour of having 'Epic Name' as the short name for the epic and 'Summary' as the long name.
It seems incredible to me that this is broken in the new view. Anyone using epics needs this functionality. Very annoying to have to keep switching back to the old view.
