Modifying workflow scheme

I created a Kanban board and want to change the workflow scheme. It advised me that I cannot modify the active one but that I should create a copy and it will put that copy in Inactive which I can then Edit. You can see it below.

Great. It has an Edit button. (Bottom graphic). But when I click on Edit (from Issues-Workflow Schemes-Inactive), I have no ability whatsoever to edit it. If I cannot edit it, I cannot ever make it active as it is exactly the same as the first one. Clicking on 'Diagram' (from the first graphic) shows me the layout but I have no ability to edit the flow or at least, figure out where to do that from. Even though I've clicked on Edit, it appears my only option is to Assign which buys me nothing.

You're looking at the workflow scheme, not the workflow.  you need to go to https://<yourURL>//secure/admin/workflows/ListWorkflows.jspa  and then scroll to the bottom of that area to find the actual workflow to edit.  The scheme is just where you assign the workflow.

You're very close, but not quite where you need to be.

Hi Jim,

What is it that you are actually trying to do? Are you trying to change the workflow? Because that is different from the Workflow scheme.

I understand that. What I am trying to do is change the Kanban workflow from the default. The default workflow is Backlog-Selected for Development-In Progress-Done. I have copied that workflow to one called Copy of Software Simplified Workflow for Project JKP, (I created a new project since I had 10,000 copies of the other one's workflows).

'Copy of' looks exactly as I wish it to which is in the bottom graphic.

When I go to Project Settings, I see the following graphic which seems to indicate that 'Copy' is not associated. I have tried various things but suffice it to say I do not know how to make Copy of Software Simplified Workflow for Project JKP the Active one. No matter what I do, I always see Backlog-Selected for Development-In Progress-Done.
