We want to move our old Jira Server from a physical server to an Azure VM. I was wondering if the licensing used in Jira / Confluence is node locked such that if the mac address of the server is different, will the licenses stop working. We just want to keep it around for legacy lookup.
Thanks!
I'd check out this help page as a good starting point for migrating between servers: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/migrating-jira-applications-to-another-server-938846962.html

@Ste Wright Thanks for taking the time. I am aware of that article but for this effort we really just want to convert the server to a VM and then move it to Azure. The only thing that will change is the MAC address of the server it is currently installed on. Just need to know if a MAC address change will blow everything up.
