I built a personal board, but now I want to move it the project. From the
xxx.atlassian.net/jira/boards display, I choose move for the board, but the "New location" field is greyed out.
I've also tried to create a board directly in the project but that doesn't seem to be allowed either.
Hi Joel,
The reason likely is that the project defined by the board is not a software project. If it is a business project we only option is to keep the board at your profile location.
The project's type is "Team-managed software" and I am the Lead. AFAICT I have all permissions.
Is it material that we are on Standard and not Enterprise?

Ah. Yep. You can’t do that on TMP. You can place a link to your board n your TMP sidebar.

Thanks. I think that is it. Created a Company Managed Project and it works.

I built a company managed project, rebuilt the workflow and workflow scheme, moved over all the tickets, deleted the old project (hard delete from trash so that the name and Project ID were released) and then renamed the new project back.
Then I was able to attach filter boards directly to the project. Much much better.

HI @Joel Young ,
Check this documentation. Make sure you have the right permissions set to do so.

Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Ben

As far as I can tell, I should have all the right permissions. I set up the JIRA instance. I'm paying. I'm the Admin. Etc.
Despite that, I can't change the location of my personal board. Not even to other Administrators for that board. I also can't create a new board except as personally owned.
It feels like a permissions issue, but I can't give myself more permissions...AFAICT I have all of them.
Thoughts?

Could this be related to it being a Team Managed Board and not a Company Managed Board?
