Hi,
I am using swimlanes with jql to divide the bugs for a specific topic (I have 5 topics) depending on what is written in summary : JQL : summary ~"\\[abc\\]
I think, but maybe I am wrong, it is written correctly- but I keep getting multiple swimlanes of the same name (for example: 2 swimlanes called ABC) - how to manage it so that all the bugs related to specific subject (like abc) are kept within one swimlane and not stored in multiple swimlanes of the same name?
Please help 🙏
Hi @mrsKandyzowana , the names of swimlanes based on queries is defined in the configure board > swimlanes. You should be able to edit these names there.
Yes, that's where I did it- the problem is that when creating a bug/task new swimlanes are added of the same name (as I set it in configure board >swimlanes ) so I end up having 3 swimlanes called ABC instead of 1.swimlane ABC that contains 3 tasks.

I am not sure I understand. Are you saying that new swimlanes are some how automatically being created? I am unaware of any means of doing so. Swim lanes should not be created when you simply create a new issue. Maybe share a screenshot of your swim lane configuration?

Well that' s what happens for me- as I wrote I use the JQL in swimlanes configuration so that when bug/task is created and in the name contains a specific word it is added to specific swimlane. But it doesn't work exactly as wanted :(

So, when an issue is created, matching your JQL defined swimlane. Then it should appear in the existing swimlane. A new swimlane should not be created. I would be very interested in seeing an image of where a new swim lane is added after an issue is created. By the way, is this a Company managed or Team Managed project? I assume CMP.
