Hi All,
I would like to have 2 things happen that relate to Jira and Bitbucket talking to each other but I dont know how to accomplish these items. Please me know if you have any ideas.
Item 1.
Upon commit, I want to the developer to specify the related user story by number. I dont want any commits to happen where there is no user story ticket associated to the commit.
Item 2.
I want the Jira ticket to have a link in it to the commit it is associated with. This association would happen at the time of commit, per item 1.
Please let me know if you can help with this.
Thanks,
Eric
Hi Eric,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
There is nothing in the Bitbucket/Jira integration that forces you to provide an issue key in your commit comment. In order to do that you would either have to write your own hook or use an app. I have looked at Jira hooks for Bitbucket and Simple Bitbucket Commit Checker on Bitbucket Server and they both check that your commit contains an issue key. Once you commit comment mention a Jira key your second request is automatically taken care of by the Bitbucket/Jira integration.
