I will explain what I am trying to create and maybe someone has a better idea.
We have cycles at my work. On a Kanban board, I made the cycles columns. But I would like to track each machine we use under each cycle. The issue would be the actual part. So the plan would be to create an "issue" and move it to the Cycle 1 Column and to a Machine 1 row.
Is something like this possible? Am I using the wrong type of Jira?
If machine is a custom field type then you will be able to configure swimlanes for the boards with Queries.
For Example, if you have machine values as Machine 1, Machine 2 etc. Configure Queries in Swimlanes like
Machine = Machine 1
Machine = Machine 2
With this configuration you will be able to see that all issue with machine 1 will in top row and machine 2 in row and goes on.

This worked.
Thank you very much. Do you know of a way to say "Machine 1 started at x time" and it allows you to track when it starts and stops for each swimlane.
