Team,
Recently we have upgraded our Jira cloud plan from standard to premium & enabled certain automation rules, now we want to downgrade the plan back to standard, thereafter automation stopped working. Hence wanted to know, will automation support only premium version or also supports standard version.
Hi @Savitha Chandavar ,
Referencing the documentation here, automation is included for both plans, the biggest difference between them is that premium allows for Global and Multi-project rules whereas standard only allows for single-project rules. As such, if you have any rules created that are global or multi-project you'd have to either keep premium or copy those rules into each project that you want it to apply to. If you had global or multi-project rules and downgraded to standard, I'm not sure if you still have access to those rules in some manner via the UI.
Thanks for your quick response!!! I have global rules enabled. Is there any option to keep them in standard version?

I wouldn't think so, as it's part of the difference between license options.

You can copy the rule and apply to each project.

With Premium, you get access to Advanced Roadmaps (formerly Portfolio for Jira). This is my usual recommendation for folks who are looking to do portfolio planning in cloud. There are also a host of add-ons you could potentially leverage.
Team-managed projects also have a built-in planning feature, but I tend to not recommend using them for any organizations that are looking to maintain any sense of governance on their site. I see them as more of an option for smaller independent teams.

Hi @Savitha Chandavar ,
Automation is available in standard. Did all of your rules stop working or just some? Have you inspected the audit log to understand why it might be failing? It may be that there's some features in premium that you leveraged in your automation. However, I'm not sure what that would be. In any event, you need to look at your automation logs to understand why things are failing. If it is an obvious, please share some of the details here of what you're seeing and experiencing.
