Need to recieve Email notification

Hi Community,

When we move issue from one status to another an email should be trigger!!!

Ex: I m moving issue from Inprogress to Done status, at this point an email should go to the specific person or group!!!

I have tried using notification add-on but no luck!!!

How do we accomplish this!!!

Hi @Ganesh 

As @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- mentioned you need to create a custom event (or existing one) and configure your notification scheme to use that event and specific who will receive an email.

I explain exactly how to do this in this video here. I hope it helps.

You don't need apps or complex configuration to do this, Jira does it off-the-shelf.

Every transition in your workflow has a post-function that says "fire event: x"

The project has a notification scheme that says "email these people when that event happens"  (people named individually, or by group, project role, dynamic role, etc)

So, check the workflow to see what event is being fired and check the notification scheme to see who gets sent an email.
