Need to use single custom filed for two category types

Hi Community,

I have to use one custom field to two different types.

EX: one custom field type multiselect and second one single text. 

Country : USA, UK, INDIA (multiselect choice)

Country : INDIA (Text field)

is possible for use one custom field to two prototypes at a time in different project.

Hi , @Ganesh !

Field's types are global to your Jira instance.

To your needs you can create 2 different field: text field and multiselect-list. 

But be careful with their names.

@Alexander Bondarev  Yes correct. if we create 2 different fields with same name that builds lot of confusion. will consider this last option. if i didnt get any other way. Thanks @Alexander Bondarev !!!

Hi Ganesh,

If it for same type (Multiselect) or single select  type, you can configure by using field Context.

But for two different types, it's not possible.
