'Configure screen' for my 'Create Issue Screen' - I have chosen to show 'Epic Name'.
On the new 'Issue Layout' screen for my 'Create Issue Screen', 'Epic Name' is not available as an option anywhere to move up or down the fields view.
'Epic Link' is there, but I'm trying to show the name of the Epic I've just created on the Epic itself.
On 'New Layout' pages I can't see what I need to see - feels like it's pointless trying to adapt to the new view when it doesn't do what old view did perfectly well.
Hello Vikiy,
I hope you are having a nice day.
I understand your frustration regarding the lack of features in the new issue view layout. We are still working to get all the useful features implemented on this beta version and will let you know as soon as we have officially released the Production version of the new layout.
About the specific feature that you are asking for, we have reported a feature request to display the Epic name field on the new layout:
Missing Epic Name field on new Issue Layout settings
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
If you are not been able to work in the new issue layout, please feel free to deactivate this beta feature by clicking on your profile page > Personal Settings > Turn-off the lab feature
Let me know if this information helps.
Thanks Petterson
I do give feedback regularly on the new view and all the things that just aren't good enough when compared to the old view (there's quite a lot) - I'll keep doing that. And switching back to the old view when the new one just doesn't cut it!
The Epic Name issue is just a massive frustration when I'm trying to keep my team fully updated.
I've up-voted the Bug (which you've still got listed as a 'Suggestion' for reasons unknown) - hopefully it'll get picked up and fixed.
Thanks

I had the same problem with the field "epic status". I'll upvote the bug as well.
