Hi Everyone! I am having a problem with a new Jira board. I created a new Jira board following this steps:
1-Went to my project
2-Selected Create a New board
3-Selected Scrum board
4-Board from an existing project
The problem is that it picked up all the information from another board instead of being blank so I can upload new user stories.
Any ideas of what I did wrong? Should I go ahead and delete the new board? Will it affect the information from the board that it retrieve all the user stories?
Will really appreciate the help!
When you took that 4th choice you would have gotten a new screen saying board name and projects. The choice you did in projects is what is presented on the board.
Either redo the process or change the filter query by going into board configuration and change the filter settings

hello Gabriela.
by creating the board from an existing project, it is showing all the issues in your project. It should be the same for the other board.
You can delete your board with no repercussions on the other board, but you can also simply change the filter that applies to your new board.
follow the instructions on this https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/configuring-a-board-938845252.html then choose edit filter query ad save the filter when you are happy with it.
Regards
