Hi community,
We want that whenever create a JIRA ticket is mandatory to fill some extra fields apart from the description standard field, but we couldn't. We want this fields appear in the new jira screen below the description field.
Can anybody help us?
We created the extra fields but we are not able to put it below description field using the new screen view. They appear in the right column with other fields (status, assigned, labels, etc). In the old screen view, we can see this 2 extra fields.
Hello @Juli Mane
Currently it's not possible to do what you want, as it's an open ticket.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-71075
As an admin, I'd like to place custom fields between the description and the comment section in the New Jira issue detail view
Hi! Thank you very much for you reply. You're totally right, this ticket is exactly what I wanted! I've vote for this ticket and put me as a watcher...do you know if there is an estimation date to this new feature?

Sadly Juli, I would not hold your breath!
Marked as a low priority, been in todo for over 15 months, it's unlikely this will ever happen.
I have watched and voted the issue as this is exactly what I want to achieve as well, sadly having been watching much more critical issues (edit workflows in next gen and the such) for over a year (or more) I've come to accept that Atlassian don't really care what their existing user base want/need over rolling out new menu's and navigation with chunks of functionality missing.
It's far more likely that the marketplace and community developers might be able to develop a field type or advanced issue screen layout tool to help us get the data there. I would even try my hand at it but I've never developed an add on for Atlassian Cloud!
It must be possible, after all, the Tempo field appears between Description and Comments, Thats a way complex view and all we want is a container for custom fields, or a description clone field really...
