New project - Why the linked epic doesn't appear into the backlog list ?

Mégane LE PALUD April 11, 2019

I linked an issue to an epic but when I am on the backlog page the "epic tag" doesn't appear.

Hi Mégane,

I have seen this kind of problem before with Jira Software boards.   In my experience, when this happens, the JQL query being used by this board is somehow not set to actually include that specific epic issue.

Would you mind sharing with us the JQL filter syntax that this specific board is using?  You can find this by going to to the top right ellipsis (...)  -> Board Settings -> General -> Filter Query.    Perhaps this ROAD-81 issue is not being returned by that specific JQL query you have for this board.  You can test this by going to the issue navigator, /issues/ and then trying to search with the advanced search option here and enter that specific JQL filter.   If that ROAD-81 issue not returned by that JQL query the board is using, the epic label will not appear here.

Please let me know,

Andy

I finally use the "old" type of jira project to manage my team issues and we don't have the problem anymore.

But thank you for your answer.
