Next-Gen: cross project field

Is there a way to create a field that can be shared between projects? For instance, an user field where we declare the user responsible for testing the feature?

You can certainly create a custom field and use it for multiple projects. That is pretty straightforward. Maybe you are asking for something  different here?

I think my problem my be the place where I have to create de field.

I'm creating the field at Project settings -> Issues types. That's not the correct place, right? Can you point me the right direction?
