NextGen to Classic - Epic gets changed to Story

I am in the process of migrating NextGen project to Classic project and in this process, epics are getting migrated as stories. Note that I have an epic issue type mapped in classic project but still the epic in nextgen gets migrated to a story in classic.

Hi John, Yes I am moving from NextGen project to Classic project.

And it won't let you move from Epic to Epic?

As part of Move from NextGen Epic to Classic Epic, it is mandatory to provide an epic name (as there is no such field in NextGen). However, after giving an Epic name, the epic doesn't get created instead a Story is getting created.
