Nginx with reverse proxy ssl

Hello,

I managed to work well server installation on localhost:8080 but when I want to put it behind nginx with ssl I can't manage it.

So here is my main nginx conf:

In server.xml, you will need to include only the below parameter

scheme="https" proxyName="jira.example.com" proxyPort="443" 

Attached a sample nginx configuration for JIRA setup:

Thanks, your solution worked.

But didn't understand why proxy pass to localhost IP though.

I've got "unknown log format "upstream_time" in /etc/nginx/conf.d/main.conf:17"
maybe something has changed
and in your example there's once:

    server_name  jira.example.com.com;


but another time:

    server_name  jira.example.com;


That's probably a typo.

That was a typo error. Replace the server_name with your DNS.
