Hey everyone!
On our Jira Software server instance there seems to be no pop-up window coming up when trying to create a new issue. Also typing 'c' doesn't do anything anymore.
My checks:
Anyone ever made the same experience? Is there any setting that I missed that might have been changed which prevents this pop-up to appear?
Thanks as always!
Best,
Jousef
Hi @Jousef
You didn't mention what browser you are using.
You may try using a different browser as we have experienced unusual/unexpected behavior in one browser and not in another.
Hey @Hack Vogel!
I was using both Firefox and Chrome and Firefox is a "clean" browser, no extensions installed. Same on all browsers I will update my post. Thanks for hinting this! :)

You may have to start at the basic permissions level and ensure you have 'Create Issues' permission on at least one project.

Hi @Hack Vogel,
I tried to do this in different projects and definitely in those where I have full permissions for anything, including creating issues. I also tried to ask other users to confirm this and it doesn't work for them.
As a side note, if that helps, I am one of the system admins for our instance. So I have full access to every single setting and am able to look into more granular things too.

I am in the same organisation as Jousef and I have the same problem. Did not change anything in my settings when it started some weeks ago.
As far as I can tell, all the teams have this "problem". Many simply use the create issue at the bottom of the backlog. Others just go the annoying extra steps.

Keyboard shortcuts such as "C" can be enabled/disabled on a user-by-user basis by clicking the question mark icon in the upper right; perhaps yours is disabled. However, you should still get the Create dialog when you click the Create button.
