No option to remove a workflow from a workflow scheme

I am trying to remove a workflow from a workflow scheme but the remove button is not appearing next to the assign button.

If I add another workflow to the scheme (so that there are two workflows in the list for the scheme), then the option to remove becomes available but disappears again after I remove one workflow.

The workflow scheme is assigned to an archived project, but I tried unarchiving the project and that didn't seem to make any difference.

Is the workflow the only one within the scheme? If yes, then the remove button won't be visible because each scheme needs at least one workflow (which is used for all unassigned issue types).

You can still replace the workflow with another one though.

Yes it's the only one within the scheme.

The ultimate aim of the game here is to delete the workflow in question, and my understanding is that to do that, I have to remove it from any schemes it's linked to. If I can't remove it from the scheme because a scheme needs at least one workflow, how do I go about deleting the scheme or the actual workflow?

Hi Harriet,

Your options here would be to either...

• Replace the workflow within the scheme with another workflow, which would remove the current one from the scheme
• Delete the scheme itself, if it's not in use within any Projects
