Hi Jira team,
Is it a known issue that its not able to tag a ticket number of a Next Gen ticket in the comment of a ticket in another project (Old one not next gen)?
I am able to Link it. But tagging does not work. Please let me know if more details are needed.
Elma
Hi Elma,
I've also been seeing this in the new Comment functionality in the new issue detail view in Cloud- basically no rich formatting works anymore. It's a simplified field, which has been improved by floating and so you can write a comment as you scroll down the issue. However, I have been 'watching' this Atlassian issue and seeing others comment on the loss of this important formatting functionality.

I see a few related sub-task issues:

An Atlassian product manager recommends turning off the new issue detail view in the meantime:
Can you see if turning off the new issue detail view changes whether you can do what you are trying to do? If not, then watch and add your comments or create a new Jira issue with your detailed explanation.
Hope this helps,
Carolyn
Thanks Carolyn. Turned off the new issue detail view and it works.
I have given this question-discussion link there in the feedback asked on the turn-off step.
