Hello All,
I have Jira admin and System admin access and I have all permissions to edit the issues and create issues in the Project. The priority field is in Create, Edit, and View screen but I am not able to edit the Priority of the issue on the edit screen and View screen. Even on the Create screen, it showing only Priority in the field others Priorit's are hiding. The priority scheme has 4 Priority options.
I tried changing the priority scheme still the same issues.
Any idea what might be the issues?.
Thanks in advance,
CH
Hi Manikanta,
are you by any chance using Apps that could be restricting "Priority" field right now?
A random guess (the App is capable of doing so) is ScriptRunner - Behaviours.
You could test it by typing on the dot key (.) while being logged in with an account holding Jira Administrator permissions. Then Type "Behaviours". Best you start from the Jira System Dashboard.
On that page: be on the look out if there is something listed for the Priority field.
(i) If this was too fast the specific steps to navigate to Behaviours overview is also visible from documentation: https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/6.16.0/jira/behaviours-overview.html
If this random guess was no match you also could check for further Apps installed in your instance.
Let us hear from you what you found out.
Cheers,
Daniel
Being an admin doesn't automatically give you permissions inside a project. Doing so would be a huge security risk and violates all best practices of security.
You need the Schedule permission in the project to modify the priority field.
