Number of plugin installations

In the marketplace there is a number close to a bulb, when You click on it You get:

"Customers have installed this app in at least XXX active instances."

What does it Mean? Does it includes the free 30-day installations? Is it updated always when a client buys a plugin? I guess it only counts installations via marketplace?

Hi @Pawel G indeed, only counts installation via Marketplace and also includes the trials. On the other hand, Atlassian doesn't update that number when a user installs the app. Not even daily, is updated weekly.

btw, is this number reflects a current active instances count or an accumulated installation count?
