On laptop: Clone is too low in menu, so inaccessible

annamarie.jackson February 17, 2020

Working at home on my 15" laptop.

I open a jira, open the More drop-down, and try to access Clone, but it falls below the screen and it's not possible to scroll down to or arrow down. (Please try this before asking me what I mean.)

So Clone is impossible on a laptop.

1. Can you fix this?

2. In the meantime, is there a keyboard shortcut or other workaround?

Hi Anne-Marie, you can use . (the full stop/period character) as a means of opening up a search window, so you can type '. c l o n e' and it should bring up the relevant option. I think there's an open ticket on JAC but I can't find it at present.

OMG! That's awesome. I think I can sell that bit of info at work for $10/share!!! :-)

No worries at all. Here's a $20/share tip -> if you're an admin, you can search the operations and admin menus using 'gg'. I never bothered learning to navigate the admin area because I just search :)

Hi @annamarie.jackson

To my knowledge there’s no way around this and I am inaware of a keyboard shortcut for it as well.

In your case, I’ll zoom out the browser window and then select the option I am interested in.

As for available keyboard shortcuts, use ? to access them.

You can also raise a feature request at jira.atlassian.com for a shortcut like this.

Best regards.

Zoom out browser works fine. Just couldn't find it before. Once you mentioned that was the way to go, found it in View on Chrome. Thanks.
