I would like to open a Kanban board I have created on the Jira website in the Jira mobile app (Jira Cloud by Atlassian) on my Android phone.
How can I do this?
It pops up under the Home => recent tab in the mobile app if I open the board on the Jira website but this is not a good solution. I just need a tab on the mobile app to view boards. That would be awesome.
The board is a cross-project board. It is based on a filter that includes items that have the tag applied (todo-now). The filter is "labels = todo-now Order BY Rank ASC"
Thanks for reaching out. This is a challenge which we're currently working to solve in the Android app. In the meantime, open a project and then select the board switcher dropdown (circled). This allows you to search for boards. Please let me know if this doesn't work.
Eureka! It works! Still would be nice to have an easier way to find it, like a list of boards, with starred boards at the top. But at least there is A way to get there. Thank you!!

Glad I could help. We're working to improve the whole experience; hopefully in the not-too-distant future, it's a more intuitive experience :)

Thanks @Hannah McKenzie why did I not think of that workaround 😅 it works for me as well. please let us know when you have added boards to the app as a tab or similar improvements you are working on 😀

Hi @Casper Rubæk and welcome to the Community!
I am not a user of the Android mobile app, but from things I've seen, I would assume you should be able to access the board from the project it is attached to.
In Jira cloud every project has a location, which is either a Jira project or a user's profile. The most common location for a board would be a project.
When you open the mobile app, you should be able to select the list of Projects. Search for the project that your board is linked to. When you open that screen, you should land on a board in that project. There is a dropdown next to the board name, where I assume you should be able to open up the other board(s) linked to your project.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the quick response.
I just checked if it was possible and unfortunately it is not since the board is located on my personal profile. I am not able to access my personal profile boards on the mobile app, only on the jira web.
The reason why I have it located such is because I need the board to reflect the current tasks I should work on across multiple projects.

Hi @Casper Rubæk,
There are plenty of workarounds to get an overview of your tasks without having to link boards to your profile. Basically, this simple filter will show you all your open tasks across Jira:
Assignee = currentUser() and resolution = unresolved
You can change the location of your board with a simple procedure described in this support article.

I'm in the same situation as @Casper Rubæk I made a board that shows all my projects in one place, so it's tied to my profile, not a particular project. I need to see it on my mobile app. At first, I was able to get to it on the mobile app because it showed up under Home -> Quick Access, so I know the mobile app can do it. Unfortunately, it has disappeared from Quick Access, and I can't get to it from my profile. I know the app can show the board, there's just no way to get to it. Help!
Note: I know you can use filters to list issues from multiple projects, but I'm specifically trying to view the board.

@Andy H cool, let me know if you figure out a solution to this. I am thinking about creating a specific project something called "Todo" and then assign label "todo-now" on each issue on the different projects to add these to a filter that populated the kanban in the Todo project board. If this does not work I might need to build my own app that can do this via integration with Jira API, but this is a waste of time.
