Order of core Project Board columns in business project is not the same as the workflow

Hugo Doyle April 20, 2020

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a new project. I've started with Kanban process management template and have completely changed the workflow. The core board on the project 'homepage' has all the 'steps' but they're in the wrong order. How is this order set? It doesn't reflect the workflow...

thanks for any help!

Hi Hugo, welcome to the Community. You may find this thread useful - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Change-order-workflow-transition-buttons-in-new-Issue-view/qaq-p/1163157

there is a suggestion open for this as stated there - JRACLOUD-72069

As an admin you used to be able to do this prior to the new issue view that has been rolled out. In the old view there were 'buttons' for the transition across the top but in the new view these buttons no longer exist.

Thanks for your answer. In the end I've just figured out I'm a wally. It turns out you can drag the columns to reorder them - it's not very obvious that you can. Possibly I failed to do this before as I hadn't made myself the project administrator?
