We have the following problem with the approvals in JIRA Service Desk. We want to use it for the change management process and especially for the VCAB-approval (Virtual CAB). We have build a workflow function "Initialize VCAB" with a field "approvals" on the workflow screen.
For example there are three persons responsible for the VCAB-approval and there is a "Change Manager", who is able to override their decision.
The field "Approvers" will automatically be filled with users from the service catalog in insight (CMDB) with these three people. This case works fine. Now the first user approves the issue, the second one denied and the third one doesn't reply. Now it's up to the change manager to make a decision and should be able to override the other users.
We implemented a workflow function for the change manager to get into the next status (approved). Whenever he uses this workflow function and the issue status changes to "approved", the approvals are no longer displayed on the issue screen.
It would be nice, if we could see on screen, that there was a past approval by three users (User1 = approved, User2 = denied, User3 = doesn't reply). Is there any chance to implement that?
Hi Max,
Were you able to find a workaround on this issue? What version of JSD are you using?
As ever,
Roy
Hi Roy,
unfortunately not. We are using JSD in version 7.10.2.
Best regards
Max

Hi Max,
We are using an older version, 7.6 and by default in the customer portal or inside JSD itself, we can see the approvals of the previous approvers like the one you just described on your post. Is your status approval configured to be approved when at least 1 approver approves?
As ever,
Roy
