Is it possible to allow users to only change the status of subtasks and be blocked from changing the status of epics and tasks?

Hello @Douglas Oliveira

Yes. You can create separate workflows for the different types of issues (subtasks, tasks, and epics). In each workflow you can specify a Condition on the workflow transition to limit who can execute that transition.

Learn more about advanced workflow editing here:

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-advanced-issue-workflows/

That page is for workflows that are used in Company Managed projects. Here is a link for a similar page for workflows in Team Managed projects.

Hi Douglas,

Yes, that's very possible because issue types can each be linked to different workflows with different conditions in the transitions.
