Hello
Apologies if I miss information - this is my first ever post on here!
Currently at our company we have around 40 projects, all different styles of boards & setups. Since the company started, jira-software-users has been the default user group, therefore it is assigned to all projects, but because it is default, I cannot unassigned it.
I have created a group for our external developers, with the idea to give them access to only 1 board of ours, but unfortunately as jira-software-users also defaults to every user (which in turn gives access to all Jira software), they can see all 40 boards, which is not good commercially for us.
Is there a way I can fix this without having to create new groups for existing staff, then editing the other 39 boards?
Thanks!
You can remove the external developers from jira-software-users.
Hey
Thanks for replying,
If I do this, will they not lose access to the Jira overall?

If they are still in a group in Jira, they will still have access.
