I wish to create a group of managers that are allowed to move their own (assigned to them) tasks from Review to Done.
Can this be done using group-based access + workflow conditions?
I would like to have a single group instead of adding each manager to a dedicated group with a ton of conditions.
The aim here is to prevent one manager to move another manager's assigned tasks from review to done, only their own ones.
Hey,
should there be anyone else also allowed to move the issues from Review to Done or only the assignees?
Hey @Marta Woźniak-Semeniuk yes, there are multiple conditions where the managers can move their employee's tasks but not their own ones.
This one is for C level managers to be able to move their own tasks to Done.

For this specific workflow - who are all the people that should be able to move tasks from Review to Done and on what conditions?

if the assignee = name.surname then only manager.group can do the transition from review to done.
now it is set per user, and there is only one manager in each manager group.
the condition is recreated for each employee of the particular manager.
my question is about another process to implement in the conditions:
allow Clvl_manager01 to move the task where assignee=Clvlv_manager01 from review to done. but instead of creating conditions for each Clvl manager - I want to know if I can have a group of C Lvls to be able to move only those tasks where the current assignee is the person moving. and restrict moving for another Clvl manager that is a member of the same group.

What should happen if the person trying to move the issue to done is not part of this C-level management group?

@Marta Woźniak-Semeniuk the issue will not be moved to done as the person is not the assignee and is not a c-level.
i only want to find out if I can escape from creating per c-level manager conditions and use a group-based approach or not.

Yes you can. If you have a user-group with all those people in it - you can add conditions for the transition from "Review" to "Done" as below
"All of the following conditions"
* must be member of group xxx
* must be current assignee
If the workflow is shared between projects - it might be a good idea to make a copy of the existing one, adding changes and assigning it to this project only.
If it should apply to all boards in the project this solution will work. If it should apply to only one board but not the others, then there is no way to do it AFAIK.

@Marta Woźniak-Semeniuk I will give this a try and will let you know the result

@Marta Woźniak-Semeniuk thanks, it worked.
