Plaintext password in the Server.xml

mariarosaria.cuomo@tisparkle.com April 16, 2021

Hi guys,

My security team asks to  crypt the  plaintext smtp server password, in the server.xml.

I know it’s not an easy thing, but someone had the same problem, how did they encrypt the password in server.xml for smtp jira connector? thanks

mariarosaria.cuomo@tisparkle.com  Welcome to community.

I believe you can use the same process as the dbconfig.xml.

Basic Encryption

Advanced Encryption
