Hi Support Team,
Appreciate your help regarding the below case:
We want to send email once moving a ticket on JIRA board from a status to another one, to specific persons with a specific email template.
For example once creating a ticket on a JIRA board, under the custom field 'Email Body' as example, we must put an email template and then specify the persons that we need to send them an email under a custom field 'Verifier' as example, so once moving a ticket from Backlog status to Pending status, an email should be sent to the persons under the custom field 'Verifier' and the email template should be taken from the ' Email Body' field? how can we do that from JIRA, our Jira Software version is 8.20.10
Thanks & Regards,
Romy
Hi Romy,
Yes, you should be able to do that using Automation for Jira. Are you using Jira Server or Jira Cloud?
Thank you for your reply!
We are using JIRA server, Jira Software 8.20.10
How can I use JIRA Automation?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
It would be an add-on for Server. There is a free version called Automation for Jira Lite, and a paid version called Automation for Jira Pro.

Thank You!
I uploaded the Automation JIRA lite add on but once I tried to add an action, 'Send Email' option is always disabled as shown in the below snapshot. Appreciate your help!
