Trying to upgrade 8.19.1 to 9.4.0.
The Jira Update Check on plugins has the above section for one app and says to disable before update:
Atlassian Universal Plugin Manager Plugin
Compatible plugins I have are:
Atlassian Troubleshooting and Tools
Automation Lite for Jira.
I cannot disable the Univeral Plugin Manager to comply (I wouldn't have thought I would want to in fact) - there is no disable button. As I can't do anything with it, is the upgrade going to run into an issue because of it?
Hi Sue,
It should not be a problem. Universal Plugin Manager is included with Jira and will work after upgrading the application. However, I recommend upgrading on a test environment first.

With the hope that I could ignore the app then, without touching it, I have upgraded to 9.4.0 successfully and my "User installed" Atlassian Plugin Manager Plugin is no longer there in the list. There is one in the "System" list, which makes sense due to it's name. Note that my initial upgrade to 9.5.0 failed, hence I thought I'd better ask the question, and go to an earlier LTS release.
Considering this is a simple, tiny Jira database, an upgrade failure has happened several times to me in the past to different releases, so I am always apprehensive about upgrading. Sometimes a roll back and redo is then OK, or I need to select an older release.
Thanks for the response anyway.
