Post function in workflow to call external url to post data

Hello

I need to post data to external url in a workflow transition with my issue data.

I was using webhook call from scriptrunner in post function before..

Is it possible to make HTTP post from workflow transition. I saw few examples in this community, but gives errors when tried.

As a related question how do I read response to the call.

Please let me know.

You can use free Easy Integration for Jira app. Here you can find the REST Service Caller post function which comes with the app.
