Prevent user from creating comments visible to everybody ?

Vianney Lejeune August 23, 2019

Hello,

I guess that all is in the question :-). How to make sure that a user will and can only post comments that are visible to the group he belongs to ?

Thanks!

@Vianney Lejeune  I`m back at you with a possible solution.

So I will assume that you already have the groups created with the users so whenever you want to add a comment visible to all users to will use the classic method by adding a comment in the comment section, but for restricted comment you can open the issue in the right side ad then press fast x2 times the G button. and a screen will appear with Issue actions. Go to comment and on the comment screen you will see under the comment section a locker where you can select the comment visibility ( All users / Project Roles/administrators.)

The problem is that, each comment must be written using these steps because if the comment is written in the comment section, is visible to all users.

Another problem might be the restrictions, because the settings are available only for All users / Project roles/administrators) so maybe you will have to make some changes on permissions and roles, in order to work properly the comment restriction.

If is something that you don't understand let me know  :D.
