If code snippets are included in the description or a comment of a ticket (task, for example), and if they are of a sufficient length:
The code gets cut off when printing. The printed page shows an image of a text field with a scroll bar and truncated code inside.
The expectation is that the entire code is shown in the printed text field.
Exporting to Word "prints" out the entire code snippet as desired (have not tried XML export).
The print preview in the browser has scroll-able text fields. The .pdf representations are not scroll-able.
EDIT1: In the footer of the printout it says "Jira 1001.0.0-SNAPSHOT", for reference.
@Pehr Wänggård Söderling The Better PDF Exporter will export code blocks without truncating them.
The built-in export method fails with large code blocks, because that is implemented by relying on the browser, while this app implements its own layout engine. If it matters, the app even offers syntax highlighting:
(Discl. this is a paid and supported app developed by our team. Free for 10 users!)
I'm not sure that admins can modify pdf/word template. IMO - This looks like a bug for me. I requested for Atlassian support assistance.

Thank you Sebastian. Is there another place where these kinds of questions/reports are more appropriate for me to post in the future?

Hello @Pehr Wänggård Söderling
Thanks for thoroughly testing and providing screenshots of your export to PDF issues, with long text/code. I did find a bug similar in nature to what you've described. I believe this issue, Issues with Margins and Incomplete Data in Exported Jira Tickets to Word/PDF, is close to what you're describing.
If it is similar, please click the "this affects my team" link within the above JAC issue.
As the bug states, there is no workaround at this time through the core product. apps or customization may offer a fix.

Hello @Stephen Sifers
I did as you suggest, thank you for finding the related issue.
Should I comment there with a link to this question or will that be unnecessary?
