Just finished my training (so still quite fresh for the theory but not experienced enough) and doing some homework on my own project
Do the following is a bug or known issue , or did I miss something ?
Jira server 7.1.10
I have defined a SCREEN SCHEME that is associating all operations (Create, view, Edit) to the same screen (I have defined this screen as default for all unmapped operations, but I have also tried to detail the three operation pointing specifically to the same screen).
This works great for Creating and Editing but the VIEW screen remains unchanged (no custom field). I have also tried to assign the VIEW to a very minimal screen but without any change ?
Is there something else to do ? (the system asks me to re-index ?)
EDIT : I was looking at the ISSUE DETAIL VIEW that is configured at the board level...it was not the VIEW screen...
It is the Issue Detail View and can be configured in the board settings itself (and not the admin config)
I believe the fields need to have data entered to display (If you're referring to when you VIEW an issue).

OK I just figured out that I am not speaking of the VIEW screen.
I am looking at the screen that appears at the left of a KANBAN board when you click on a issue. This screen display information of the issue selected and stays always the same (hard configuration ?).
what is the name of this screen and can it be configured ?

Hi @Remi vaucher,
Your question is unclear, as you said you are using a single screen for all the operations - it means any change (adding or removing fileds) in this screen happens for all the operations.
You can see the fileds in Issue view only if they have some value give. For eg: if you have a custom text field - it only pops on Issue view if it has some value in it.

Thanks for your answer !
Yes I have some value in those fields. I can see them when editing or create mode but none of the custom fields are seen in the rigth pane in the view mode.
I have also tried to have a minimal screen with only the issue key and summary but the view still have the default screen...

And by the way re indexing did not solve the problem, as well as shutting on/off JIRA
